Its services include robotics & automation, artificial intelligence (AI), Information Technology (IT), software development, electronics, mechanics, custom built drones, custom sensor systems, navigation systems and Data Mining systems.
This Brisbane-based company has developed a host of solutions including factory labelling systems, de-burring robots and robotic welders, “smart” windows, a smart smoke alarm and even a lawn bowls scoring system.
Established in 2009, Freelance Robotics also assists companies with R&D projects and works closely with start-ups to develop prototypes to take to market.
For almost a decade, OMRON has been a preferred supplier for a broad range of robotics and automation equipment.
This includes relays, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems and safety equipment as well as OMRON’S renowned Sysmac automation platform.
More recently, Freelance Robotics has recommended OMRON mobile robots and TM series collaborative robots for several major projects.
New partnership agreement
The two companies have worked closely together to provide IoT solutions for food & beverage, packaging, manufacturing, assembly and material handling applications.
This month, Freelance Robotics strengthened its partnership with OMRON by joining the prestigious Accredited System Integrator Program.
Under the program, OMRON partners with approved system integration companies in Australia and New Zealand, who install OMRON Electronics’ products into end users’ facilities.
“We’ve had a successful working relationship with OMRON for many years, providing turnkey solutions for clients,” says Freelance Robotics CEO and Founder William Pagnon.
“Omron provides a total solution. We really like their range of products – they’re easy to use and very reliable. It’s a one-stop shop.”
Client confidence
Mr Pagnon says the new agreement “formalises” the existing partnership.
“Having a reputable name like OMRON behind us gives our clients more confidence and gives us more prospects across Australia.”
Can Freelance Robotics clients expect greater support and customer service?
“Absolutely,” says Mr Pagnon. “There will be great benefits for both companies and for our clients.”
OMRON Oceania Managing Director Henry Zhou welcomed Freelance Robotics to the ASI Program.
“Freelance Robotics is a leader in its field and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with William and his team.”
