ZI-ARGUS is an independent systems integrator that provides total solutions in process control, automation, engineering, process consultancy and plant optimisation.

The ZI-ARGUS Industrial Automation business began more than 25 years ago.Across the Asia-Pacific region, the ZI-ARGUS teams deliver turnkey projects in process, manufacturing, infrastructure, and data centre environments.

ZI-ARGUS Australia has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and has developed Industry 4.0 solution “Symbiont by ZI-ARGUS to assist company digitisation strategies. 

ZI-ARGUS Australia has had an association with OMRON spanning several years and in more recent years the two companies have developed a very close working relationship.

OMRON supplies ZI-ARGUS with a broad range of automation equipment, including cutting-edge PLCs. ZI-ARGUS provides skilled and experienced systems engineers and design teams enabling a NEW solutions business to OMRON customers.

The next exciting phase will include OMRON mobile and collaborative robots for materials handling, pick and place operations.

Innovative solutions

Zi-ARGUS has a strong focus across many industrial automation segments and more recently expanded its operations to include major data centres and smart buildings. Developing industry specific innovative solutions for its customers and their clients!

This month, we are pleased to announce Zi-ARGUS further strengthened its relationship with OMRON with the signing of a Systems Integration Partnership agreement.

Through its Accredited System Integrator Program, OMRON partners with approved system integrators across Australia and New Zealand, who will design solutions and install OMRON Electronics’ products into end users’ facilities and OEMs machinery providers.

Richard Roberts, the National Industry 4.0 Operational Manager at ZI-ARGUS, says the partnership is an ideal union.

“We have quite a unique partnership,” he says. “We don’t really cross paths. We are a specialist software integrator and OMRON is a leading supplier of speciality hardware.

“It’s a partnership that works very well for both of us.”

Mr Roberts is confident the new agreement – along with our new Industry 4.0 opportunities – will help both organisations bring more solutions to the market.

Exploring new business opportunities

“Most companies now want to be smarter through machinery and AI (artificial intelligence),” he explains. “Under the new agreement we will be working more closely with the teams exploring new innovations and new customer solutions to bring to the market and our customers.”

“For customers, they will have more support and services from both OMRON and ZI-ARGUS across the country.”

OMRON Oceania Managing Director Henry Zhou welcomed ZI-ARGUS to its fast-growing ASI program.
