OMRON sees bright future ahead with Australian Machine Vision

For more than 18 years, Australian Machine Vision has been providing custom inspection, process control and robot guidance solutions to Australian businesses.

The Melbourne-based company has successfully applied area scan, line scan, laser triangulation and time of flight technologies across a broad range of product types and environments.

Its innovation machine vision systems can be found in many industry sectors including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical, packaging and industrial applications.

Director and Founder Ken Razga and his specialised team, work with hyperspectral, multispectral and SWIR technologies to further expand their range of solutions.

Australian Machine Vision consistently delivers systems for demanding applications to provide bespoke solutions that match client requirements.

And the company boasts an impressive list of major clients including Bosch, Dulux, Nestle, Bluescope Steel, Sealed Air and Pact Group.

Close working relationship with OMRON

“As an independent system integrator, we’ve been working with OMRON for more than 10 years on a number of major projects,” says Mr Razga.

“In the early days, OMRON supplied mainly vision controllers, but now we are using a wide range of OMRON products.

“OMRON has a very good product range which is compatible to our vision applications, including robot guidance jobs.”

Earlier this month, Australian Machine Vision forged even closer ties with OMRON by joining its rapidly growing Accredited System Integrator Program.

Under the program, OMRON partners with approved system integration companies in Australia and New Zealand, who install Omron Electronics’ products into end users’ facilities and OEMs Machinery.

“Our relationship is already very strong and the new agreement will further strengthen that relationship,” Mr Razga says.

“Hopefully, it will also provide more leads and opportunities for both companies.”

Preferred product supplier

Mr Razga says OMRON is a preferred supplier for many of its projects for three key reasons.

“Firstly, OMRON has world leading technology and their pricing is very cost effective, he says.

“Secondly, their products offer great quality and flexibility – and finally, they’re products are very easy to use.”

Under the new agreement, OMRON will provide more detailed training for the Australian Machine Vision team.

The team will get more exposure to OMRON products and more professional training on their latest technologies.And Mr Razga says clients can expect to receive even greater support and better pricing under the new partnership.

OMRON Oceania MD, Henry Zhou welcomed Australian Machine Vision to the ASI Program.
