ACS partners with Omron to deliver state-of-the-art automation solutions

Automated Control Solutions (ACS), a company specialising in automation and control for the manufacturing and food and beverage industries, is now an authorised Omron systems integrator.

Established in Western Sydney more than 11 years ago, ACS has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Omron.

The company has worked with Omron on a number of major projects, including a highly advanced automation system for a leading poultry producer in Sydney’s outer western suburbs, and a custom vision control system for a Western Sydney pharmaceutical company.

With the new automation solution, the poultry producer has seen an increase of 3-5% in hatch results and a reduction in energy costs of more than 30%, and the pharmaceutical company has seen a 12% reduction in reject products providing a fast return on investment.

ACS director and CEO Adam Francica says the success of the systems can be largely attributed to the reliability and accuracy of its components.

Nearly all the hardware was supplied by Omron, including PLCs, HMI (touchscreen) and various control components.

Latest Automation Solutions

With the recently signed Accredited System Integrator agreement, ACS clients will be the big winners, says Mr Francica.

“We can now offer the latest Omron solutions to our clients before they hit the marketplace.

“They will get the jump on any new technology that’s being launched.”

Under the System Integrator program, Omron Electronics partners with approved SI companies in Australia and New Zealand.

SI partners install Omron products into end users’ facilities and OEMs Machinery.

OMRON supplies ACS with everything from PLCs, HMIs, vision systems and automation equipment.

The company has been recently trialling Omron’s autonomous mobile robots AMRs, including the LD250 and latest HD-1500 models.
