Scenario

CX-Thermo cannot connect to your OMRON temperature controller. It's likely that the temperature controller can be seen through CX-Thermo, but a proper connection cannot be established.

Issue

Older versions of CX-Thermo have limited compatibility with newer temperature controllers.

Solution

In the CX-Thermo folder on your PC, check the readme file. This will list the OMRON temperature controllers that your version of CX-Thermo is compatible with.

For example, the readme file of CX-Thermo v4.69 shows the following compatibilities.

If your temperature controller does not appear on the list in your readme file, upgrading your version of CX-Thermo is likely to resolve the issue.
